Long summer

Summer is almost done and it has been a super busy one. Please excuse us for the gap in post. In August we finally moved into our new home. We love it so much. It is a five bedroom one story house which we completely remodeled. Bradley loves the house. It is very close to both grandparents, the park, and best of all it has this amazing backyard. He spends a good part of his day playing outside with the sprinkler, his truck, and anything else he can get his hands on.

This sprinkler toy was a gift from the Browns. He loves watching the little hoses spray water.

He must be like his lolo because he loves to water the grass. We are just trying to get him to move around.

Catching up

It's been two months since we sold our house in Westchester and moved closer to family. Currently we live in very tight quarters but the light at the end of the tunnel is very near. Hopefully we will be moved into our new house very soon. We still need escrow to close, and a little remodeling, but hopefully we will be settled in our new home. Here are some updates about our soon to be 14 month old:

1. Words he loves to say are "up, Tom, dog, mul(water in korean)
2. Currently loves all carbs and strawberries
3. Very mean to Mulan and loves to smack her
4. Walking all over the place and loves to explore
5. Very sweet and still gives lots of bopos (kisses)
6. Takes frequent trips to Disney, La Habra Children's Museum, and the Santa Ana Zoo

Bradley's First Year!

Thanks for the Memories!

Another chapter in the Benaraw Life Book came to a close as we moved sold and moved out of our first home in Westchester Los Angeles.  I personally will miss being so close to all the culture that West Los Angeles has to offer.  The museums.  Downtown.  The beaches.  But new places offer new opportunities!

One of which is that Bradley is once again reunited with his best bud since birth, Wesley!  The other is that we live so close to the Happiest Place on Earth.  We've already gotten our money's worth the first two weeks of living in Orange County.
We have yet to find a new house to buy.  We're taking our time to find the new Dream House.  Having owned a home now, we know exactly what we want in a long term abode.

Stay tuned a see where we'll end up next!

It's Called 'Incentive' Folks!

In June 2011 Kim said that once we have kids we can get Disney passes, the following July Bradley was conceived.

That's just a joke people.  But we did get Disney passes today.  WooT!

Pits and Poo! Yay for Free Days!

Well, it took a few weeks but I think the family is about 99% back to normal.  The past few weeks was just a whirlwind of coughs, stuffy noses, sore throats, and fevers.  One person after another.

I didn't realize how draining being out of commission could be on a "normal routine" until it was time to get back into it.  It was so hard to get out of the house to do anything at first.  Then you realize you're just wasting away inside while there is a whole world to see outside.  Thanks to my favorite site Mommy Poppins I found a couple of things to do today.

The first was the La Brea Tar Pits and a free day at the Page Museum.  Free? We're there!  This was a first for us both.  Either I've never been or I was too young to remember.  But it was new to both of us.  Kim always warned me that it was pretty boring.  She was right.  The tar pit, well, it's a pit.  As for the Page, it's a really small circular museum full of bones from the pit.  You can get thru it in 10 minutes.  You're better off going to the Natural History.

Just another LA day

Stretching those legs during story time

Lens flare!

Bones, bones, bones ...

and more bones

He wanted to walk his stroller

Next stop was LACMA.  No free day here.  But that's ok, the two things we wanted to see were outside anyways.  A) Urban Lights aka "the light posts in the front" and B) Levitated Mass (or what I like to call B's poo diaper where the poo seems to have gone UP the back).

Anyhoo ...

Gratuitous light shot

And another angle

We're going in!

Ooh!

Ahh!

Rock.

Back Again

I like Spontaneous Kim.  Saturday morning rolls around and I wake up.  Normal Kim would say we should go out and get groceries or go to the mall of that sort.  This magical morning Spontaneous Kim recommends we go to Disneyland!  WHAT?!?!?

Who am I to argue?  I jump out of bed and its off to the races.  This time around I had an agenda for B.  This trip was going to be about characters.  Any character we can find, he's a taking a picture with them ...

We arrive!

Thru the gates and we see our first character (I thought he was gonna lose it here)

B's "Why are they doing this?" face

He loves Pluto

Com'mon kid, play along

Chillin like a boss

In line for Tigger (we didn't make it)

Who's coming next?

Rabbit (are rare sighting)

He really loved Poo

I had to get some action

Not a Disney character, but still a character ;)

The "Man" himself

Messin' with B

Our first ride of the day

Thanks for the entry Miss Jen (notice the ears)

After the ride (he didn't like it)

Overall it was a good day.  Lots of attractions were out of commission.  The weather was a bit on the cold side.  Still tons of people.  But that's okay.  Everyone had fun.  And what's not to enjoy at Disneyland?  In the end everyone was happy.  That's all you can really ask for at times.
