Memory 1: How I Found Out
Many of you many not know, but I was out of the country (again for work) and away from Kim when I found out that I was going to be a father for the first time.
The "how" I found out wasn't the way I've always envisioned it.
I thought I'd be in the same room for starters. Not thousands of miles away stuck in hotel room where a jail cell at Shawshank Prison would've been considered an upgrade.
And I always thought Kim's way of telling me was an after dinner cake with the words "I'm Pregnant!" scrolled thru with frosting. Combining my three favorite things: Kim, cake, and preganancy. In reality, what I got was a phone call in the middle of the night to tell me to check this really weird email Kim got from my dad. My first response of that of worrisome for I thought my dad sent Kim an emergency email regarding my mom or him.
The email I saw was not one of illness or emergency. But rather of one that simply stated
"Guess who's going to be a daddy?"
Accompanied with a simple picture: a pregnancy test with a little '+' in it.
For those who've never experienced what it feel like to have your soul leave your body in celebration when hearing news of this magnitude, allow me to explain what this feels like:
Physically, you stiffen up. The only thing you're able to move are your eyeballs, so in my case the only thing I can recall seeing during this moment was looking at a couch and TV and back and forth. You know when a part of your body falls asleep and then you get that "needle prickly" feeling? That happens all over your body. Starting from your feet and travels all the way up to the top of your head. Mentally, you blank for a second then you start analyzing the gravity of the situation. In my case I tried to become a fortune teller because I tried to see 18 years in the future. The A quick chill hits causing goosebumps. You shake it off and then you fall back to reality. All this in a span of, roughly, 2 to 3 seconds.
Not the way I envisioned it, I couldn't have planned it any better.

Which One?
Remember that scene in The Devil Wear Prada when they couldn't decide which belt to use because they were so different even though they were clearly the same color?
I feel like Anne Hathaway here.

Thank You to Everyone
Two (and a half) great baby showers were given to our little family. Thanks to my mom and sisters for organizing such great parties.
On a side note, the overwhelming turnout just reaffirmed the fact that it's feels so good the baby boy is coming into a world where there are so many people that are waiting to give nothing but the most love and support for him.
Thank you to you all.
